Lou Abbott: Home

Welcome to Lou Abbott's website!

Please check out the "Music" menu for my new song, "I Just Can't Love You Anymore." You can now stream my music onto your computer, Ipod or MP3 player. This feature and GarageBand has motivated me to redo many of my songs from the 1980s and 1990s. Let me know what you think.

All my love to Paola and our family around the world.

I update regularly and would appreciate hearing from you.

Check out my calendar for upcoming events and a special welcome to my students at Barry University, Lifelong Learning and Broward College!

I am with Dale Powers, Johnny O. Matt Bonelli, Tom Roberts and Jesse Jones, Jr. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights in the Council Oak Lounge.

Directions: Enter the front of the Casino by the Valet, make an immediate right and we are at the first curve. If you see an outfit of Prince's on the wall or get to the Food Court area, you went too far. The Council Oak Lounge precedes the Council Oak restaurant.

I recently released a Blues/Swing Dance CD called "Big Beat Blues" with Piano Bob's 88s. Check out the "News" section of this webpage to see what parts of the world have bought our music.

You can listen to and purchase it at:

CD baby

or just click on "CD Baby" in the Links section of this webpage.

We also are featuring some video of a concert in Hollywood on YouTube. Check the "Links" section to find it.

I am on Mike Suman's great CD called "Something Old, Something New..." that is also available on CD Baby.

Some other recordings to check out:

I am playing percussion on Susan Werner's first record and she was kind enough to call me an "arranger" as well.

I am playing drums on two of Heath Allen's recordings: "Post Hip" and "Song of the Griot."

I play drums and percussion on Fred Small's record "I Will Stand Fast," with Howard Levy, Mary Chapin Carpenter and producer Michael Aharon.

This is the place we call home: the Council Oak, under the fish, for Johnny's 55th birthday. As my friend Dan Goble says: "It may be a hole in the wall, but it's MY hole in the wall!" Congrats John-lots of love in that room.
